A ski late morning, after watching the Birkie finish on live stream. Already 37 degrees, but SkiGo bubblegum Red kicked past noon. Tracks were deep and glazed. A guy was setting up the groomer in case snow falls overnight. He warned me the downhills might be fast. I can’t remember the last time I went airborne in classic tracks.

My first time at this trail. We signed up for a family membership without skiing it, based on great reports. It was beautiful. Perfect conditions at about 30 degrees. I used a purple wax and my friend used his waxless. A light snow was falling. Trails were in ideal condition. As a first time visitor, I was a bit confused about where I was since no maps at intersections.

First time at Korkki and it was beautiful! I love the single classic track set throughout the whole place. It could definitely use a regroom but the tracks are still there and skiable.

Skied all the trails at Korkki. Swix Polar provided bomber kick in the sub-zero temps. A bit of kick-wax-grabbing conifer needles in the tracks, especially near the chalet. Watch out for a snowdrift "jump" after crossing Danny's Duck Pond, I definitely caught some air. Iso Maki was excellent condition.

The new snow made for a gorgeous morning at Korkki. Not groomed yet, but there were tracks made by other skiers, and the slower conditions helped temper those big downhills.

The Marshall Nordic team held a morning over distance ski at Korkki today. Korkki was at its finest with temps around 25°f and lake effect snow falling on the trails. The track was nicely skied in and kick was excellent with three layers of from an old tin of Rode Multi Grade blue I found in the Marshall wax trailer. Instead of trying to keep up with the kids I skied lots of small loops from the 4k to the 6k cutoff to try and see each of the team members out skiing and then ended the day by skiing the whole 10k. It was a magic day made even better by a crockpot of homemade chili waiting for us at the parking lot at the end of the workout.

Freshly groomed perfection after a couple inches of new snow. Great conditions. So nice to have the old icy crust buried.

Had a nice ski at Korkki. Tracks in solid shape, though there was a fair amount of debris, mostly leaves/pine needles and a few twigs, so don't use your good skis if you're too worried about that. It was open up to the 6k cutoff with the big hill being closed. Still, definitely worth the drive!

Skied yesterday and today and the trails were very good. Trails were well tracked. Nice amount of snow, no ice. A couple of the more challenging trails were roped off, but main route is open.

Korkki received rain last night and Mark Helmer asked me to report that the trail conditions are poor and will be until more snow falls.
