Strided the entire complex under a blue sky shortly after the groomer laid a fresh set of tracks in the new, very dry snow. Tracks are shallow (1/8 depth). Full coverage. No bare spots. Carpe Skiem!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Strided the trails from both sides of the Shores parking lot during the late afternoon with the sun setting in 8 degrees. Full coverage, but the Bay-side trails had much less wind debris to deal with. Carpe Skiem!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Classic skied everything but the tail end of Shores - most of the trails are pretty well tracked, except for the expected thin and blown-out sections lined with conifers at the beginning (along the marsh) and toward the end (along Lineville) of the larger loop. A few thin spots, some tracks washed out, and leaves throughout the trail, but still decent enough to get going for most of the route. The pothole/shores area looks like it has seen a little less traffic, and is holding up nicely. Worth the visit with B-skis, but too many cones, leaves, small branches, and thin spots for good skis. Despite the long line of trucks parked on Lineville Rd. offloading ice fishing huts, it was pretty peaceful for all who partook.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Very nice striding in 1/4 to 1/2 depth tracks this morning in 16 degree temps under a light overcast sky. I parked in the Shores parking lot and enjoyed every stride of the Bay side trails. Carpe Skiem!
