Nice classical trails, some close to the shore of Lake Bemidji while rest is deep in the woods. Site of Candlelight ski tours and annual Volkslauf ski race.

Firsthand: Classic 
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Went for a simple evening ski to check trails with my classic skis at sunset. Tracks from the parking lot to the lakeside and to campsites are set. Tracks are not set or groomed from the parking lot to the Paul Bunyan Trail. The small loop offers nice scenery. Wonderful area to ski at the candlelight event in past years.

Trails in Lake Bemidji State Park were groomed on Sunday, with mostly classic tracks, and are in excellent condition! A huge shout out to the groomer at the state park who does an expert job on the trails! It would be helpful to have signs posted for walkers to stay off the tracks! It was worth the 6 hr drive to ski the trails all around Bemidji! Great job!
