As of 3pm, the trails were completely ungroomed under 4-5 inches of snow. The parking was minimally plowed. Breaking your own trail was the only option.

Excellent. Firm, fresh tracks (groomed yesterday). Solid pole plants. Lots of snow. Mid-20's, sunny, calm and quiet in the woods.

A nice, scenic, classic-only single-track trail with three loops for about 7k total. Trail had been groomed on Monday and was still in good condition. There was some debris on the trail from the gusty winds today and a few thin spots on the River View Loop, where there are also some rather large pine trees, adding to the scenery. Thanks for the grooming!

I arrived at 1:15 this afternoon and found that the trail was just about to be set with grooves. The informative groomer was in a nifty John Deere machine that will be dedicated to Pattison replacing the old snowmobiles that had consistent problems. This was very good news. I was fortunate to be the first to ski after he put down the grooves. The new snow wasn't enough to completely cover old debris but I didn't have any leaves and needles on my good skis at the end and I enjoyed a quick run. My thanks to the crew. I've been skiing this trail for over 14 years and, for classic skiing, Pattison is a gem. I hope the state can continue to support this trail.

Although the tracks had not been set, the skiing was wonderful. Another couple had been out just before us and broke the trails so easy to follow. The fresh snow provided excellent coverage and of course, added to the beauty of the park. To me... this was WI skiing at its finest!

We skied Pattison today in -10F and it was the absolutely most beautiful I've ever seen it out there! Snow covered trees, multicolored diamond like virgin snow, and the four of us had it to ourselves! We were the second people on the freshly groomed perfect tracks! Full disclosure, there was some thinner snow on the River Trail - easy to get around though. Kevin, the person in charge of the park, and the "OCD groomer", officially retired today after 27 years. Even though he is retiring, he said he still plans to groom and help take care of the park as a volunteer. If you are looking for a magical place to classic ski tomorrow in the "balmy" temps, I highly recommend taking a drive out there. It will be worth every mile! WI state park sticker required, no doggies allowed.

We rolled and groomed the new 5" of snow that fell. Track was set on the whole trail system, and is in very good condition.
