Morning
Firsthand: Classic Observation
[ B skis ]
Skied staghorn with skin skis. Base handles the mixed precipitation well, but needs grooming (not icy, but very crunchy, if that makes sense). Some significant obstacles, ski carefully! Saw on Jack Pine some standing water/ice, but avoidable as well. Just happy to be still be skiing!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We just finished grooming in about 12-14" of new fluffy snow. The skate deck will be soft but the classic tracks are deep and seem to hold well. With the weather changing, we will keep at it and try to make be most of this snowfall.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails were groomed tonight. Skating trails are in very good shape. The classic was put down on all trails. The muliti use trails were groomed within the last week. Have fun skiing Lake Wissota State Park. Think Snow.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed everything Wednesday night and skied the trails this morning. All of the trails are groomed for both skating and classic The main part of the system is starting to take shape nicely. Some of the side trails are still a little uneven. A lot of snow came down while our equipment was in repair and we are still getting things back in shape.

Some new snow today! Great coverage, but probably due for a grooming. Classic tracks are indistinct in some areas.

Happy trails at Lake Wissota St. Park. Amazing job groomers in clearing downed trees and debris. Fresh corduroy and tracks for striders. Skied Red Pine and Jack Pine.. Beat of the season after 5" snow on Thursday.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Lake Wissota State Park was groomed this morning. All trails are open. The trails are in good ski condition, for the snow we have to work with this year and the incredible amount of trees and sticks that have come down this Winter. There are still a lot of sticks lurking in the snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Big thanks to those who have cleared and groomed the trails! Still some small twigs etc., but a great start for the season. Snow was variable today from icy to fresh powder falling off the trees. I only did staghorn loop, not sure how others are yet.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
It is a work in progress. Not only do we have tons of snow and downed branches but our Gator and Ginzu are waiting for parts so the heavy equipment is not available. Parts of the system have been cleared and lightly groomed with a snowmobile and Tidd Tech. A classic track is set on the groomed portion. Today, I skied the Staghorn loop. The track is relatively firm but pole plants are soft. I would assume that the skate lane would be really soft. I'd recommend sticking to classic.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Nothing groomed and many trees leaning or down. But with some wide and long rock skis you are rewarded with a beautiful winter landscape.
