Another great day of skiing at Tomahawk. This is a gem in Northwestern WI. Trails were in a great shape and well groomed. Virtual Birkie support from Friends of Tomahawk Lake Park gave us extra incentive to ski a few more loops. Skate deck was firm and fast. Classic tracks were holding up well.

Wow, what a great morning ski! The full loop (9.2km) was nicely groomed and even most of the road crossings were well covered. This was my first time skiing here and I was impressed with the trails and the conditions and was even surprised to find amazing volunteers out there with an aid station to support virtual Birkie and non-virtual Birkie skiers alike. Thank you to everyone involved!

Groomed entire outer loop. Used teeth to clean up the wind blown debris. The deck is still solid and skate lane nice. Reset the track which turned out fairly decent. A bit shallow with some leaves left, but better than what was there. With continued windy conditions expect more leaves in the tracks. Skins should work well. All set for those doing the virtual Birkie tomorrow.

Groomed entire system except for cutoffs. Finished up at 12:30am so it should set up by morning. Skate lane is great, classic track a bit crumbly. Had to use the teeth to break up the deck and set track. Overall it's in good shape for those doing the virtual birkie on Friday.

Entire outer loop and classic only trails groomed this morning. We had about an inch of snow to work in. Classic tracks are for the most part good with a few spots being shallow. The skate lane is in excellent condition. With the warm temperatures today the grooming won't set up until tomorrow morning. It would be best to wait until then to ski. Tomorrow morning would be a great time to get in your virtual birkie!

Hello sunshine with double-digit temps! Classic conditions are good overall. A bit of crumbly track here and there with rock solid rails elsewhere. The hot lap! I thought about going around it 70 times to complete my virtual Birkie but will save that mojo for another day - soon.

Skied in from the Barnes Rd. trailhead. Scott's grooming last night was excellent! Much less tree debris and the deck was really nice. Good skiers were really cruising on it, me not so much.
