Wow! Fantastic late season skiing at TLP. Classic tracks are firm and fast, and the skate deck looks solid. Leaf litter and other debris are minimal, while the scenery is maximized with bright sunshine reflecting off icey branches left over from the recent storm. It's hard to believe we had to shut 'er down grooming-wise one year ago because it seems like the current conditions are ideal and may possibly last. We shall see what Ma Nature has to say about that...get out there while the getting is good in the meantime!

Scott groomed the whole system yesterday and it has set up very nicely. The deck was solid and ran well with very little tree debris. Pretty much the best conditions of the season!

Groomed entire system today both skate and classic. All leaves are buried. Snow was dense and groomed well. After setting up conditions should be excellent.

This was my first visit to this trail. The classic tracks were unfortunately littered in numerous stretchs with a lot of oak leaves. That's the risk with allowing an abundance of small scrub oaks to grow next to the trail.

Every season I try to ski a trail I've never skied before. Mission accomplished. Tomahawk is a great little system! Grooming was excellent. Fun, rolling terrain, spacious parking and a nice little warming shack. Lots of Oak leaves though! Someone needs to invent a groomer/leaf vacuum for areas like this. Did the first loop with waxables and, surprisingly, my wax didn't pack with leaves. Second loop we did on skins. Kick wasn't quite as good but the skins went over the leaves a bit better. Great day. Would definitely come back!

Groomed all trails both skate and classic. Trails are in excellent shape and have firmed up since the last snowfall. Enjoy!

Skied the blue trail a few times. Very soft track. Maybe better with another pass of the groomer. Crossed the other trails there and they looked the same.

Groomed the entire trail system tonight. It will be a bit soft till it sets up. Full depth classic tracks and flat skate lane. Seems the trail recieved over 10 inches of snow but hard to tell with the drifting. Rolled yesterday's snow last night and groomed today's snow on top of that. If you're in the area for the Birkie and want to get a ski in before or after the race, Tomahawk is a good option. Good luck to all the Birkie skiers!

The skate deck on the outer loop was groomed to get the new fluff and drifting blended in. Most of the classic tracks on the outer loop were not reset as the cold snow was a little chalky where they were reset. The blue classic only trail was not groomed as it is skiing well.
