Reminder: The North Section of the Yellow Trail will be closed to cross-country skiing the rest of the 2020-2021 season, due to logging operations and hauling of logs while the ground is frozen. The remaining sections of the Yellow and Red trails are groomed, however skiers will need to turn around and come back on the same sections of trail. Both the Red and Yellow trails are not completed loops due to logging activity. Our groomer has made a large loop on the Red trail that will turn skiers around for the return on the same trail. Unfortunately skiers will have to turn around in the parking lot of Loop Flowage on the Yellow trail to return. Please check with nature center staff for the most recent updates, as things can change before trail reports can be updated.

Beautiful day for skiing at one of the most scenic locations in NE Wisc. Nice fresh groom although tracks were soft. Unfortunately the yellow trail north of the flowage (and at least part of red trail) is plowed and unskiable. I wish we would have known and avoided that mile of walking. [ It has been reported multiple times that some of the northern trails are closed due to logging -- Ed. ]

Trails at Navarino were re-groomed and tracked on Sunday afternoon. Trails are looking great. Tracked in both directions, nice skate ski deck down the center of the trails. We have made a loop on the Red Trail to return skiers to the main trails, and avoid the logging activities. Snowshoe and walking trails are also packed. No ski pass required, donations are appreciated.

Nearly 90% of trails at Navarino are packed and tracked. One section is closed due to logging activities. Trails are groomed on both sides for traditional and skate ski in the center. About 10 miles ready for weekend use. Sledding hill, Snowshoe and walking trails are packed as well. 7-8 inches on snow on top of old base.

Ski Trails were re-groomed after snowfall on Sunday. Trails are packed and tracked, groomer noted that there are still a few thin spots. Trails are tracked on either side with a skate deck in-between. Snowshoers and walkers are asked to use snowshoe and walking trails.

Ski trails are open and in good shape. However the trails north of Pike's Peak are now closed for the skiers, as logging trucks have impacted the trails.

Ski trails were groomed Sunday night at Navarino. Groomer reports that all trails are covered and in good condition. Received about 3" of snow on top of the previous layer.
Trails are tracked for traditional skiers on the sides, and skate down the center. Walkers and snowshoers are to use other designated trails.
