Groomers have not been out since the snow fall this weekend. I started at 2:30 pm. Skier made tracks and actually they were pretty good! Base is still firm. One set of tracks until the bridge then mostly two sets. Back in the woods walkers decided to walk in ski track. Regardless the snow still provided decent glide. From the parking lot walk past the club house and over the make shift road before putting your skis on. No skate deck. I hope groomers come out. There is plenty of snow to lay in!

Great afternoon of skiing! Started on the south loop, found a perfectly groomed skate deck and two sets of classic tracks -- wow! The only minor issue was they are trimming trees, so there are several places were the trucks tore up the trails on the south section. The north trails (north of the clubhouse) were also very good, maybe skied in a little more, and some sections are multi-use, but still very good skiing. Great place for an easy distance workout, almost no hills but trails wind thru prairies and woods and over several bridges. And the weather was icing on the cake, right around 30F!

Was excited to see the trail had been recently groomed and nice deep tracks set. The skate deck looked pretty firm and level. The classic tracks were set... but they were so wobbly, they were almost unusable with normal long classic skis. I know it isn't the norm, but looked like the operator of the groomer (today) had very little experience with said equipment.

Both the golf course and the woods were groomed today with good results. Double classic track set throughout both loops, where width allows. Should set up to be a nice surface. FYI: Logging operations will be taking place soon on the southern golf course loop.

Perfect day of skiing at Chomonix. Skate deck has set up really nicely and is pretty fast. There are a couple of soft spots on the golf course from the wind, but the woods area is pristine. I did have to take my skis off to cross the road, but that is my only complaint. I have never seen the conditions at Chomonix as great as this. Enjoy!

Trails seemed rolled or dragged, but not groomed which was no surprise given earlier report. I skated both the woods and south loops, and it was quite soft. Saw a few classic skiers out making their own tracks - a nice evening to be out skiing, and great to have snow here.

Due to staffing concerns and the volume of recent snows, grooming has been put on hold while maintenance staff focuses on plowing and removing snow piles from park entrances, roads, and parking lots. Grooming will resume later in the week. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Grooming occurred during the snow Sunday. The skate deck is wide and firm on both the golf course and woods sections. The golf course loop has side by side classic tracks set, however there is insufficient snow base to properly set classic tracks on the "woods of chomonix" multi-use trail. As I left, more powder was falling, so plan accordingly.
