Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The Moccasin Trail was groomed and tracked this morning and classical skiing was great! Tracks were fast and with the snow we received last night they were not icy. Skating area also looked great. Trail should hold up for spring type skiing conditions. Snowshoe trail was crusty also and not icy.

Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Moccasin Ski Trail remains in very good condition for both skate and classical skiing. The tracks are shallow, ruts are gone, and with the 1 inch snow last night it softened the base and classical skiing improved. We will continue focusing on having the trail in good shape for the weekend. Next grooming will be Friday or Saturday if needed.

Grooming

The trail was reworked and is in very good to excellent shape for skate skiing. Base was too hard to set good track but otherwise trail is still very good for classical skiing.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate skied the entire trail and other than a little rough in the beginning all loops are in very good shape for skate skiing and the snow is crusty, not icy. The trail firmed up after the rain yesterday with the cold weather coming in last night. Tracks are present for classical skiers but are shallow and in beginning of trail are rutted.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The Moccasin Ski Trail was groomed and tracked and is in very good skiing condition for both classical and skate skiing. The snowshoe trail also remains in very good shape. With warmer weather coming, spring type conditions will exist in the coming weeks on the trail – crusty conditions or icy in the morning and softer in the afternoon. We will continue grooming as long as the base is present and the trail is being used. The trail is never closed and will transition to hiking, biking, and horseback riding once the ski season is over.

Great day to go ski; trails were in great shape. Looks like lots of skiers since the last grooming which is wonderful. A scant of new snow in the tracks slowed us down a bit. Cross-country skiing can't get much better in the Northeast part of Wisconsin! Get out and ski!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The Moccasin trail was groomed and tracked. Some of the tracks are not as deep as desired due to the consistency of the base. The trail is in very good condition for both skate and classical skiing and is fast but not icy.
