We had a very nice ski on the north end of the Cassian Trails. It hasn't been groomed lately, but it's well covered with diminishing track. Some debris is evident but did not interfere with the ski. Enjoy having a dog friendly ski trail.

Enjoyed a leisurely post-Birkie ski on the south end of the Cassian trail. Plenty of fresh cold powder in the Rhinelander area as of late, making the recent meltdown feel like a distant memory. Tracks were set after the recent surprise snowfall, with just a dusting on top when I was out. Beautiful as always!

Today was the first time I skied the middle section of Cassian ski trail. This section of trail is more scenic than the north or south segment. The terrain had some fun/challenging hills. A few areas had oak leaf debris. Overall.trail conditions outstanding; tracks were deep, solid and smooth.

I skied the northern part of Cassian starting at Sheep Ranch Rd to the loop at the end and back. It was freshly groomed and tracked for two-way traffic the entire way, even the loop at the end. The tracks were fast and the grooming was as good as I've seen. Awesome job by the groomer! Thanks to all who help maintain this trail!

Skied the north end of Cassian. Tracks were awesome, superior glide. Albeit there were a lot of oak leaves in the trail. The majority of the leaves were off on the side, and those in the tracks had no impact on my skiing. One of the best skis I have had on this stretch.

Trail is in great shape. I skied from Highway K to the north end. Pole plants and track were firm, and most of the organic debris was covered with a light dusting of snow. The trail has several improvements since I last skied it a couple years ago (widened corners, bumps knocked down, swampy sections raised). Those improvements made this already fun trail even better.

Late afternoon ski on northern end of trail starting at Beaver Lake Rd. Did the "loop". Tracks are set nicely. Lots of deer tracks and some dog tracks in them, but still good. Oak leaf fall has resulted in fair amount of leaves in tracks. Nonetheless, a very nice ski, if a bit slow with the cold temperatures and occasional leaf sticking.

In a word: awesome! A classic day to classic the Cassian 2-way. Beautifully surrounded by deep snow while a gentle snow is falling. It's been 2-3 inches of fresh snow since the last grooming, but the slower conditions certainly didn't lessen the outing. Carpe Skiem!

Best skiing so far this winter. Great snow, great grooming, and a perfect balance between grip and glide. If you're like me and don't mind subzero wind chills, conditions could not be better.

Trails had been recently groomed with excellent tracks, post recent snowfall. I skied the north end to sheep ranch Road. Great conditions and it'll continue to get better as trails set up. Thanks to Rasta for the grooming.
