Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We skied Friday afternoon from 5 pm to about 7:30 pm. The track was in very good shape but conditions were fast and a little icy, use caution while under 30 degrees. On some of the hills the track wobbled side to side - this added a bit more excitement to say the least. Little chance to snowplow because the track is set in the middle of the trail. All that said, we had a good time and the stars were very vivid by the time we finished!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed this afternoon. I tried to set track in fresh snow along the outer edges of the trail where possible. Not the prettiest grooming job but tracks are in good shape (for now).

I skied the outer trail segments and had no trouble following the old tracks. Only issue was the leaves and pine debris on the trails. Just started to snow upon leaving so maybe it will cover up some debris.

I skied the outer trails twice and with the very slight dustings of snow this last week made the tracks not so fast. Track is old from last grooming but very skiable.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I classic skied Overlook and Shelter trails to wear off the red klister on my skis from yesterday's Lumberjack Jaunt race. Double poling best since the track was firm and fast with only some track erosion from Sundays warmth. Use caution on the curvy downhill areas since the track is fast. Old Pine Loop (easy segment) was skied on by a few folks on Sunday's 42 degree warmth and was icy and glazed over and the track was cut deeper and narrower than the other trail segments.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomer is back up running after a breakdown last week. Everything is groomed with only a few oak leaves in the tracks.

Not groomed and a mess. Groomer left in middle of trail for several days. Apparently broken down. Several self broken trails.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Packed the trails with the snowmobile and then attempted to start grooming when the snowmobile broke down. We were able to get the snowmobile out of the woods and to the repair shop but the drag was left on the trail.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Drove out to Wolf Lake hoping there had been grooming since the snow earlier this week. Did not look like any grooming since January 10th. We were able to still ski in some of the tracks that were there, but on some of the trails the tracks were buried, had disappeared. The good news was hardly any leaves! Skiing back to unplowed parking lot, we saw fresh snowshoe tracks on the classic tracks, but didn't see the person out there, car in parking lot. Hopefully they will be out there soon to groom after all this fresh new snow.

Sharon and I skied Overlook and Shelter Trails. One inch of new snow covered all the leaves and debris. Another skier skied the trails before us and made for a faster track. Great skiing!
