Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Wonderful conditions after a 1 1/2" snowfall last night. Looks as though this may have been groomed a few days ago, and the fresh snow made for a quick and enjoyable stride and glide. Kudos to the grooming and trail prep crews for a fantastic season.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
I skied the west loop at about 4:00 pm. It had been rolled, but no track set. It looked like a couple people skied before me, so there were some man made tracks. It was absolutely beautiful in the woods with the fresh snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Conditions were great. Full coverage, firm pole plants. I skied the east loop and from talking to a few others they indicated the west loop was in equally good shape.

No grooming since the last snowfall, but the track was in great shape due to lots of use. For this that might not know, this is a dog friendly trail. Also, there are some new snowshoe trails that start from the same parking lot.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied the east loop at about 1:30....no grooming at that time and about 2" of new snow on trail with drifting snow in many areas. Time I got back to parking area, a couple other folks had headed out the west loop.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We skied the entire trail. The tracks were better on the west side, much fewer bare spots. Thanks to the groomers! I watched a porcupine crawl down a pine tree on the west side and noted that there were quite a few small twigs underneath the tree that he had chewed off to drop to the ground. I’m glad my dog listened when I called him away from it! Keep an eye out if you bring a furry friend with you on the trail.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
With the 3+ inches of new snow we tried to reset the tracks, but we were unsuccessful. The snow didn't have much consistency, and the tracks were not good. Instead we just settled for laying down corduroy. The snow is skiable, but use the rock skis. We'll try for tracks this weekend.

99% good. There are a few areas with thin set tracks, but they are easy to step around. The dusting of snow today improved things.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
We got 10 inches of snow on Sunday. Trails were packed and rolled several times. Classic tracks were set this afternoon. The tracks are marginal. Some segments look good, while others are paper thin. Expect a lot of oak leaves scattered throughout the two loops. Today's winds were awful, and made a leafy mess. In the open areas of the east loop, some stubble is poking through. Under the pines of the west loop there is a stretch of about 15 yds. or so that is very thin, so be prepared to slide onto the deck to continue. Rock skis or B skis would be appropriate, definitely leave the new skis at home.

Observation
Track set on both loops from what I could see at the parking lot. Did not ski, but the tracks looked great.
