Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Hoping to catch afternoon thaw on the frozen trails but it never came. Rock hard skating lane fully covered but a bit treacherous. Classic tracks firmly solid and icy. A great double poling workout and would be excellent klister conditions. But be careful, you wouldn't want to fall on this surface.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails groomed and in good shape. There is a very hard ice base with six inches of new snow on top. The trail has a firm skate base and the diagonal tracks look good. The trail should ski fast. The side spur up to the Cambridge Community College is also groomed.

Grooming

All 6k of trails in great shape for skate and diagonal (traditional) skiing. The skate deck is a little soft but skied very well this afternoon. Diagonal tracks are set on either side of the skate lane and are in great shape.

Nice coverage for skate and classic. Skied all trails but near college and found coverage very good. Some squirrel digging is bringing up leaves and dirt onto trail but this is minimal. Glide for skating was very good. Snow is soft but trail is firm so not sinking in or hitting dirt. Nice outing just before sunset.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
4k of trail is groomed for skate and classic skiing. The skate lane is good for early season and B skis. There are some thin patches you can ski around. The diagonal tracks did not set well as they went down to the grass and leaves in several places. However, there are some nice stretches of tracks. The trail is set on grass with very sandy soil so... no rocks which is nice for early season skiing.
