Trails groomed and tracked today. Fridged temp made for slow glide which is a good thing on some those downhill runs.

I love skiing here but don't go as often as I'd like as grooming can be inconsistent. It was recently groomed but hikers and snowshoers had already worked their magic despite the large red sign at the trailhead. The trail was not packed very hard so the warm temperatures made skiing a little slow and control difficult. All the trail maps have been replaced, the long Red loop is now Blue, with Green and Yellow the shorter routes. Sadly the Orange loop is now one way: up. I was hiking here in the fall and erosion had really ripped up the downhill which was already nearly impossible to groom. A long climb up to the Blue loop with no reward. The long downhills were exhilarating and the scenery is gorgeous even when cloudy.
