[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
From last week to today there are a couple more loops groomed on the south side of the property. This includes a pretty groovy slope-side trail on a castle mound. These south trails are kind of soft from initial grooming; and the rest of the system is a little soft yet too from the last this snowfall. Regardless, the golf course areas are still pretty awesome. A little bit of heavy skiing or weighted grooming could make these trails prime for anyone looking for both easy and challenging. No classic tracks set.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Tried Drugan’s for the first time today, and was quite favorably impressed. Wide groomed trails, though no classic track. Rare thin spots, overall very good conditions. When first leaving the parking area it looks like pleasant but maybe dull golf course skiing. But get back there a ways and the trails leave the fairways and climb into the hills. There are some challenging climbs and descents, as well as nice trails through the woods. My Strava showed 3.7 miles with 507 feet of elevation gain.

[ Good skis ]
Skied all the trails at noon. Excellent conditions on almost all sections of the trails (thank you to the groomer!). Appeared to be freshly groomed earlier in the morning, as the snow had generally firmed up but was still soft in a few spots. There are some minor, easily avoided thin spots yet on the trails in the woods and some stubble in areas but not problematic. Skate lanes on the golf course are in great shape. No classic tracks have been set. Use of good skis should be okay throughout, with just some caution on the wooded trails.

[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Drove down the river to check this place out. These trails have history locally and I saw grooming last year while driving by. Upon arrival today a fella was finishing up grooming and the skiing was great. The golf course portions are pretty solid and smooth... great glide. The castle mound woods need little more snow but there’s a challenging uphill and two unique downhills off of it. I look forward to returning for their downhills. The main loop is just under 5k and I think there’s a few more loops they’ll groom with more snow.
