Nice skating with a few ground spots on the hills. Icy conditions, so exercise caution on hills, especially the large one going through the woods. The high speed and uneven trail, and holes in snow from hikers, was very challenging even for an experienced Nordic skier. The grooming was very good on the flatter sections.

Groomed for skating, only a few thin areas and 1 small area with coffee tree leaves and seed pods. Some sections only one pass of groomer so narrow track. However you can skate off trail, it's not too deep. No classic tracks but again very nice if you want to break your own trail. Trails in woods have been groomed but I did not venture up there as there was too much vegetation (trip hazards) poking through. Snow is not thick so depending on your weight, technique and luck you might break through going over golf cart paths or areas without grass (very few of these).
