Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied both Sunday and Monday in warm spring temps. It’s a rare day to be skiing in 45 degrees. Trail was in good ski condition given the warm temps with varying conditions from icy to soft. We benefitted greatly from Jim’s recent grooming and re-set of the tracks. Thank you.

Our groomer issues have been have been fixed so James gave it a test run today. Quite a bit of debris was on trail. Good spring skiing conditions considering the warmer weather.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I tried to groom the trail this morning but had equipment problems so even though it looks like it’s groomed at the Sundstein road entrance, it is not groomed! I only got about a half mile in and had to turn back, sorry.

Grooming

I groomed the new fallen 4-5” of snow Sunday afternoon and as I was grooming it did start snowing lightly before I finished so the skate track may have a very thin coat of of snow on it. I set a new classic track so that’s good. Lemme know what you think!

Just completed grooming the 2” wet heavy snow on skate lane and set new track. Still a bit “soft” but freshly groomed.

Groomed and tracked 2 inches of new snow from last night. Not sure what the future holds for grooming plans with warmer temps and mixed precipitation in the forecast. Pretty darn nice conditions for now, hopefully it will last.

Skied this afternoon. Beautiful day! Skate deck is still very soft. There is also a ridge near the classic tracks which occasionally either caught my ski tip or my ski sank and stopped.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Good to get out on the trail again after the brutal cold conditions of the last 10 days. I combed the skate and reset the classical track with nice results. Hopefully skiing conditions will improve with warmer temps.

Used the Tidd Tech to pack and comb the skate lane and set a new striding track with nice results. Expect some drifting in the open areas. Hopefully the skate lane will firm up as it still looked a bit soft after the recent heavy snowfall.
