Spring(like) skiing! The tracks are shallow, there is a lot of debris (pine needles and cones). The snow cover is still 99%. We enjoyed it!

County groomer packed and tracked the new snow so go ski before melt down!

County groomed Monday and made several passes grinding ice and re-setting track. Covered all debris. Temps about 15 degrees when I started with Extra blue. Fantastic conditions throughout the system. Groomed wide to get ski out to half snowplow as needed around corners. Firm track. Fast but not icy.

Tracks are well defined but somewhat icy. The hills are very fast and the base is so hard and somewhat icy so that its hard to get a bite while snowplowing or climbing with herringbone. High winds have caused most of the trail to be covered with needles, leaf litter, and fine debris. The debris is causing serious drag, even on waxless skis.

Skied all loops. Lots of deer tracks especially down by the creek. Fantastic conditions, best of the winter. Great job, Itasca county groomers.

County groomed and set track on this gem of a system winding through Norway pines along Clearwater Creek. Very scenic.

Good snow in a beautiful area, but the trail has not been groomed in a couple of weeks. I called the county and they have a staff vacancy so are playing catch-up, but will try to groom this week. The track that exists is from users since the last snowfall and is pretty good considering the time elapsed since the last official grooming. A couple of trail segments are posted closed, but the main loop and most of the secondary loops are open.

Looks like it hasn’t been groomed for a while, but it works. Skiers have been making tracks. Slow, but scenic! Nice to see some flowing water in the creek.

Trail has not been groomed since big snow storm on Jan 16 (8+ inches). The sign at the trail head says it was last groomed on Jan. 3. People have been skiing the trail so conditions aren't too bad, just slow. Some sections of Wabana creek have open water flanked by large snow laden pines, spruces and cedar making for a beautiful experience.

Groomed but now a little rough with deer tracks and nature litter. After yesterday’s wind, there is a lot of tree debris in the tracks (sticks, needles, pine cones, etc).
