The wooded and rolling terrain of the Brule River Valley make Ski Brule's trail system a favorite amongst silent sport enthusiasts. Tracked and flat groomed trails are ideal for traditional cross country, diagonal stride skiing, ski skating and snowshoeing. The trail system winds along the base of the mountain and the Brule River, offering scenic views to enjoy.

Did a brisk 7 K skate at Ski Brule today and had the place to myself. Grooming is good and conditions fast! I keep returning to the River View trail because it is so pretty and added a loop around the High Ridge trail for good measure. Next time I need to check out the Brule River Back Country Trail behind the ski hill.

Skijoured with my buddy Sheldon on the Brule River Back Country trail for the first time, yesterday, as well as the River View Trail. The snow was fast and Sheldon pulled me with ease. Trail width is ideal for skating. No set tracks for classic. The trails are groomed for multi-use, shared with snowshoers and fat tire bike folks. If you enjoy viewing wildlife, there is a good chance you will spot Whitetail Deer along the trails. Photos were taken on the River View trail.

Skate skied and skijoured several times over the past two weeks at Ski Brule. Approximately 21 KM of trails are groomed at this point, with natural snow depth of 18 - 24". The skate deck is wide and firm. People have also been out doing classic skiing, although there are no set tracks. The view is absolutely beautiful, with several trails meandering next to the Brule River. Lots of fir trees and very quiet! Conditions were a bit slow on Tuesday due to a daytime high of 5 degrees F, but had fun nonetheless! Setting up a pair of skis for - 15 to + 10 degree temps.
