Cold overnight temps and 3/4 inch new snow provided some very nice hard wax skiing. Doan Lake tracks in very good condition. Trout Lake Trail not quite as good on south end but improved to very good farther north.

Skied Doan Lake and portions of South Trout. I was surprised...still very nice packed powder and overall nice solid tracks. A few short drifted over areas here and there that are skied thru. Some leaves in places and plenty of deer tracks. But mostly clear trail and overall very nice.

Trout trails tracked to North End and Joyce Estate. Doan Lake Trail tracked. A little soft with 3” light snow. Very nice out there.

Left from the Doan Lake Rd trailhead and skied to Joyce Estates, then to the north end of Trout Lake. Skied Doan Lk loop after. Good conditions with just that last 1” of snow over the tracks. Wind had blown a few leaves in at some places, but not so much as to make things too difficult. Wind was quite brisk where the trail side opened out toward the lake, otherwise wasn’t too bad. Changed kick wax from blue extra to green special during the outing.

Groomed since the ice and in excellent condition. Excellent job grooming out the ice. Tracks well defined and soft enough for a good kick with waxless skiis and an excellent glide. No debris on the trail and an excellent ski.

Doan Lake trails groomed and tracked today. Very good conditions on most of the trail, a little crusty under the dense pines. Some scattered tree debris on the trail. Pick it up if you can.

Reset track to north end of Trout Lake. Trail needed two passes to cut up ice crust, should be in good condition, fast skiing.

Excellent skiing conditions. 2-3 inches of new powder on the trail but the tracks are well-defined by users. It doesn't get much better....

I had a nice late afternoon ski after a skiff of fresh snow. The trail is holding up well, V30 worked fine. Otter run across the trail at the creek-see pic.
