Did not groom the hill on Alpine Loop. The thin base in a few areas didn't allow full depth track cuts, some grass is visible. The majority of the trails do have full depth tracks. The moisture content of the new snow might glaze up fairly rapidly: consider bringing a warmer wax if needed. Skin skis and fishscales should be the good choice. Pit Run is surprisingly in prime condition.

All the trails were groomed this morning. All trails have good coverage except for the top of the hill on Alpine Loop. Track was set to full depth. Conditions should be good for skiing. Just ski!

Trails have been groomed and the tracks in good condition. The new snow we got on Sunday and the grooming after that have improved the conditions to very good. Sunset Trail had some drifting. We did not ski Alpine or Ptit Run Trails, but did all others. Enjoy your ski.

All the trails were groomed today. Coverage is good everywhere except the top of Alpine Hill. The track was set to full depth everywhere. Get out and ski now that it has warmed up.

The old shallow glazed tracks were broken down with the Ginzu rakers. The snow needed a few passes to mix and pulverize for a moldable texture. Results looked and felt more suitable for skiing than before. If you venture on top of the hill on Alpine, consider it backcountry skiing with less than ideal conditions. Conditions on Pit Run are surprisingly good. The Gulch hill has been softened and textured for downhill control.

Squeegee groomed all the trails to save every snowflake from blowing away and make more room for any that could blow in. Blowing is only an issue in the open areas. Trails in the woods are just fine. With the firm base under the fresh snow not all areas have tracks set to full depth. Cool temps will set the snow up nicely.

Tried grooming some of the trails to freshen them up. In the end most of the trails were left untouched as the fresh snow that is currently falling in the current tracks will ski in and be better than fresh tracks.

Denny was just finishing grooming at 3PM when I was out. Trails are in excellent shape: fast with no leaves. The weekend will be a great time to get out and enjoy Black's Grove.
