A few short drifted areas from dusting of snow and winds yesterday. Firm tracks and apron under thin layer of fresh snow. Good conditions for March! Get it before it's gone!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails were groomed. Tracks should be close to being as good as they can get in the morning. Late winter, early season skiing can be magical.

I enjoyed some great March skiing this morning. All the trails are in great shape, leaf liter wasn't bad and the deer tracks are largely a cosmetic problems. Black's Grove has to be one of my favorite places around. Thanks Denny!

Packed, flattened, mixed in snow from the edges and tracked every trail except Pit Run. Tracks should set up well for future skiing. Enjoy!

Conditions are A+! Groomer guy has Black's Grove in the best condition I have seen it. Snappy tracks, solid apron and Black's Grove ambiance made for an amazing ski!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails were packed and groomed today. The snow depth in the woods is encouraging the deer population to utilize the packed ski trails. The trade off is that they have become accustomed to skiers and usually don't scamper too far away. I didn't bring my camera today, missing out on some big brown eyes against the surreal golden white background.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails have been groomed. The outer areas are prone to blowing but the inner segments are good. There are a lot of sticks to flick out of the way but enjoy.

Grooming

Mixed in a little of the transitioned snow with the new fluff. Knocked down as many drifts as possible. Set new tracks on all trails. Really great to see numerous skiers out skiing. Pit Run and Alpine are in prime condition. The steep downhill on Harry's Gulch is wide and flat. Just don't forget those soft looking features on the sides aren't soft.

A few wind drifted areas easily negotiated, with everything else being very skiable. Polar mixed with a little green under the toe seemed a solid combo.

Today's mid morning snow and wind played some havoc on a few open areas and around the trailhead area. We skied every trail today busting very little new tracks. The trails in the woods had a little skied in fluff with solid bottom and stuff sidecuts. In order to groom the open crossover by the Boy Scout Bridge, which is exposed to the wind and often drifted over, breaking up a lot of yesterday's groomed track would be necessary to get to it and back. Fortunately there are two options to take to partially or totally avoid the drifts. Skiing conditions today didn't warrant resetting and making soft tracks in order to set track in a seemingly perpetual windy area. Great to see a fair number of cars in the lot today. Attached picture is in the open area while grooming yesterday. We packed it super wide afterwards to help avoid going off the pack again. Skiing across is a "Just Ski adventure"!
