Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
No grooming, but good snow. Skier set track to high point. A fun outing on great trails. Looking forward to skiing these when they are groomed. Side note: Do not park on the shoulder of the road. To our surprise, our car was gone when we returned. It had been towed away leaving us stranded.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Packed and set a shallow classic track for all but the old race trail. Classic should be ok, skating not so good. We received about 5" Saturday night and the wind on Sunday created a lot of drifting. With the warm forecast this week, we will not groom again until Saturday.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Warm temps just above freezing made for fast skiing. Skate lane rutted from many skiers but soft. Beware after it freezes tonight! Very enjoyable run up Thunder including East Loop, down Rajala Run, cut across on New Trail and down spectacular Finnish Run.

The trail was generally in excellent shape. There was a little drifting over the track from recent winds but probably less than 1% of the total. The skate lane was nice and firm when we jumped onto it. The warming room is phenomenal!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Seven skate skiing speedsters sped around the Snag Loop, Up Thunder and Finnish Run. Some slowed after a bit. Will try Big Thunder Loop next time! Enjoyed the warming house for snacks. Classic skiing Moms and young skiers had no problem skiing in the tracks during the inch or so of new snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Friday groomed 4" of new snow. Track and skate lane in good condition. Snag just packed. Old Thunder not groomed. Gator broke down at the end of Long Lake Loop, thanks to PL&S's mechanic who replaced broken drive belt, and off we went.

The classic track was phenomenal. I've skied this trail dozens of times and none better than today's conditions. The skate track was also nice and firm. We skied essentially the whole system smiling throughout. Great job grooming!
