Small amount of snow over moderately hard surface provided decent purchase on the skate lane. Skied Lake, Thunder, and East loops. Was a pleasant outing as temperature climbed into the mid teens. The classic tracks looked to be in decent shape most places. There were a couple spots where leaves had concentrated.

We groomed the skate lane and in very good condition. The track was in good condition and got dusted with snow. No grooming on Atomic Run. Beautiful sunny day.

I classic skied Thunder Loop at around 5 pm. Trails were in good shape for this time of year. Some ice forming on parts of classic tracks making things slick.

I came to skate ski but found that the skate lane was pretty narrow, so I commandeered the grooming snowmobile and roller and rolled out the rest of the skate lane around Big Thunder, Long Lake, and Snag. I rolled down the other trails I needed to access those, and hopefully, the lanes are a little wider and smoother. There was a lot of drifting on top of Big Thunder.

We set classic track on most of our trails today. Classic should set up pretty well tonight and be good for the weekend. We did our best on the skate lane but there are a lot of narrow sections of trail where we were only able to get a single pass done. For skaters the better trails will be Thunders (except for the top, where drifting is severe), East loop, Rajala and Sunset. We will probably make another attempt to widen things out after the weekend.

I packed all the trails except Atomic drop. We received another 8" of new snow over the past two days. Grooming plans: We will attempt to groom for both classic and skate tomorrow when it warms up at bit. Drifting on the trails have been the most I've seen, the top of the thunders is just crazy. We will probably abandon Atomic drop for the rest of the season, we have never been able to get a firm enough base on it this winter due to all the snow and drifting. We will concentrate on the rest of the system.

Set track and rolled all trails except Atomic, Sunset, and end of Thunder. Very good condition but gusty winds may change conditions. Lots of drifting and debris on trails.

4-5 inches of new snow, windy, lots of drifting. All trails packed, track set only on Snag. Poor conditions, major drifting top of Thunder. We will try to groom track tomorrow.

Groomed 5" of fluffy snow. Set track and skate lane on all trails except Sunset. Trails in very good condition. Skate lane a little soft, cool temperatures will help set up.
