[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails were groomed and tracked this afternoon. Still icy on the steep hill at Pincherry. Trails have good snow coverage. Some pine and balsam needles in a few areas.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
An inch or so of fresh snow covered the ice from this week's meltdown and refreeze. Frozen set tracks were good to ski in. Uphill herringbone a little slick with ice underneath.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trails look like they were groomed just prior to the recent freezing mist phenomenon. There is a solid base and the glide was excellent, no melting happening today. A machine tracked classic track was not deep, but it is very functional. This trail was the most fun during my tour of local trails today.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed skate ski lanes on all trails today. Classic tracks were not set but have been skied in and are in decent shape. I did ski a loop out to junction "I" and skiing was good.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Fresh two inches of snow over skate deck made herringboning up hill a little challenging but so happy to have snow over ice base. Tracks set long ago were great fun to ski in fresh snow. Took a tumble on steep downhill after Pincherry Junction. My ski slipped sideways on ice at the bottom when I was at full speed. :) Extra blue was slow breaking trail in fresh snow but just right on return trip in the tracks.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Strong winds and blowing snow yesterday. Today calm and above zero by midday. I had a great ski packing in the barely visible tracks on most of protected Prelude loops. Up at Red Pine junction the strong winds blew the new snow off the ice base. I did not do Lake Loop. Did a lot of stick flicking. More to do by the next skiers! No deadfalls on the trails I was on. My sticky green wax was perfect.

Cold day today. All trails are packed and tracked. 85-90% coverage with some debris here and there. Probably could use good skis if you're careful. Thankful for the groomers!
