The 2.5K loop was groomed Wednesday morning and resulted in a fairly good skate deck. Tracks were not set. Conditions will vary depending on the time of day/temperature. Due to the number of passes required to get to a smooth trail, and also due to the very few skiers now using the trails, it was decided not to groom additional loops. Grooming operations are being discontinued for the season and the trails and chalet will be closed at the end of the day on Sunday, March 31st. The chalet will reopen when the mountain bike trails are ready to ride.

Got there before 10 am. Trail was a sheet of ice, so I got back in the car and drove south to Minocqua Winter Park. Maybe later in the day would make it skiable.

Trails where in rough shape after the last grooming and the weekend activity - lots of rutting from the gator, snow rubble dropped by the groomer and frozen in tracks from the skiers. This morning we tried cleaning up the trails by dropping the groomer knives all the way down and tilling up the entire base and it actually came out pretty decent and is much smoother. Because of how hard-packed and dry the snow was this morning, tracks where not set.

We picked up another 5-6" of snow this weekend and groomed the snowshoe and ski trails this morning. With full sun and the fresh snow, conditions are currently pretty soft. With forecast, keeping the trails in shape for skiing much longer may become a challenge.

With a light dusting of snow and a windy day yesterday it was time to clean up the ski trails - so we did. Trails are back in excellent shape.

Picked up another 3-4" of fluff last night - yippee. Just finished grooming all the snowshoe and ski trails and resetting track. Looks like we may be getting a break next week which will give me a chance to evaluate the bike trails and see what it's going to take to get them opened up again.

Picked up a few inches of snow last night/this morning - fortunately it was at the lower end of what we were estimated to get. Ski trails were groomed and trackset today. I left the snowshoe trails alone and still haven't evaluated the bike trails - possibly tomorrow.

We are slowly getting caught up with the weekend blizzard. All snowshoe trails have been rolled and the main loop out of the chalet - WinMan Passage - has been groomed. All of the ski trails have been groomed and we will be setting track tonight on the 2.5k and 6k loops. More snow is forecast to come in this afternoon/evening which we will deal with on Wednesday. Conditions will be soft and slow for quite awhile.

Hard to know exactly how much snow we got this weekend with all the drifting but I'd guess it was 12-15". We have been rolling trails all day today and will attempt to get some of the ski trails groomed and trackset on Tuesday. I plan to look at the bike trails later this week but don't have much hope of getting them rideable anytime soon.

Ski trails were groomed and trackset on Thursday. Snowshoe trail was groomed on Friday. All trails are in great shape except for the bike trails - hope to start working on those early next week.
