Trail Reports

2019-2020 season
Reports 1 to 10 of 24    Month: Feb | Jan | Dec | Nov

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trails have had quite a bit of use since the last grooming (2 days ago), so they are a little bit beat-up, you bet. Plus, there are oak leaves and other forest litter in the tracks. The leaves didn't much affect my waxless skis, but anybody using kick wax would pick up some debris.

Three inches of fresh snow made conditions perfect. All trails groomed and tracked. Oak leaves and pine needles are finally covered up. Come out on our beautiful classic trails and take an easy ski before the Birkie, Korte, or Prince race this weekend.

All trails renovated and groomed except "hilly" loop. Quite a bit of needles and oak leaf debris in areas. Conditions are fair to good. We could use more snow to cover up debris.

Skied a section of the Birkie trail in the morning and was looking for a different experience in the afternoon. First time skiing the hospital trail. Excellent signage. Trails are easy to low intermediate, classic only. Tracks were in good shape, forest litter was minimal. Glad we took time to ski the trail.

With the cold temps last night, all trails firmed up nicely. One of the actuators on our groomer is in for repairs so everything is only single tracked. Remember, this is a classic only trails so please no skating. The conditions are terrific.

All ski trails rolled this morning. The new snow has little to no moisture so trails are very soft. No tracks are set. We plan to set track early Sunday morning after the trails have had time to set up.
