I did not go far on the trail, but think that the entire trail system would be open. After checking with a ranger, I learned that the trails are no longer groomed (have not been for about 5 years). It is hiked on, so is packed down. I would have braved that, but the wind storm we had earlier this week blew lots of leaves, bark and twigs down so I decided to try another place that would at least be groomed.
