Skate lane is an icy boilerplate, rutted in some places and not too bad in others. A timely grooming by the city might make it excellent, but that has been the case all week. The classic track now is pure ice, bare in places, though you can step around these. On the other hand, crust was pretty good, though it got too soft by about 10 am. It's about time for the annual ritual of a red-faced golf staffer to come screaming at me that the course is now closed, even though it's protected by 4" of ice.

Skate lane was level and firm. Classic tracks mostly deep and solid. Icy in places, but hard wax worked good in the cold this morning. Washed out in places. They set track on the left, so you don't get whacked in the face as much by brush.

Beautiful day at Yahara. Skate deck was in good shape, looked like it was rolled this morning. Slightly uneven in spots, bust mostly smooth. The trail on the West part of the course was a little soft in the direct sunlight, but was nice and firm on the East part of the course. I did see a couple small sticks in a couple areas but overall great coverage. Could use more clear signage as there were a few people skating in the wrong direction.

Tracks were completely washed out from the wind. Was decent for skate skiing but very challenging to classic.
