Skied the trails this morning and it was about 33 degrees. We were hesitant but with red wax, it was a fantastic ski! Tried again this afternoon but it warmed up way too much and was too slippery.

I was pleasantly surprised by freshly groomed trails after the snowfall on Monday (the DNR website says trails were last groomed on Feb 7th). The tracks were in great shape. However I should have packed poles with larger baskets, as the ones I had sank deep into the edge of the trail. This issue was less noticeable on other trails I skied in the Tofte-Lutsen area of the North Shore.
