Located on Rainy Lake, accessible by the VNP ice road only. Maintained by Voyageurs National Park. A rolling classic trail in old growth pine that crosses beaver ponds and rock ridges. Some good hills.

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
VNP groomed the beginner's loop and Pine trail on Wednesday. (Ridge not open.) The tracks were almost perfect! We had a great ski in below zero and windy conditions. This is a premier classic trail system!

The ice Road is open to the Black Bay trailhead. Tracks have been set on the beginner's loop and the Pine Trail, lower and upper. The Ridge loop has been packed with sleds but nothing more. It's nice to be back there, even at 5 below.
