Bird watchers paradise at this little gem 20 miles east of Madison. Decent corduroy grooming with limited track due to thin base but highlight was the bird feeding station overlooking Rose Lake. All the winter residents were coming in for seed available for skiers to set out — including tufted titmouse, red belly and both the downy and hairy woodpeckers not to mention loads of chickadees, nuthatches and juncos and a couple of male cardinals just to complete the color catalog. Nice little rolling 3k of trail here with mix of prairie and woods. Lots of boot prints from walkers but such is winter in southern Wisconsin.

Great conditions for skate skiing, classic tracks pretty thin. Lots of nice grooming, all trails open.
