Reports 1 to 4 of 4    Month: Jan | Dec

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The skate deck is pretty firm. There are some sections where you could use good skis, but also places where grass, turf, and asphalt peak through. Most areas have pretty good coverage for B skis though. I think the trail is about 3 kilometers in length.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Rock skis ]
Not groomed yet, but tracks were developing each time a skier went through. If you're willing to trailblaze, it is better than nothing with the fresh, dry snow!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
It was great to get out and ski in Illinois in early December. The course was well groomed and looked good for skating. Classic was not the best, but there were some skied in tracks and a thin track at the edge of the main skate lanes. Went on the bike path a bit but it was heavily used by walkers and thought the golf course was better. There are a few areas of ice and some bare spots so I would not bring out your best skis.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails were rolled on Monday but not since the inch or two we received last night. It was still skateable and coverage was good. There were only a few places with sticks poking through and one paved crossing was almost bare.
