Skied around the orange Trail with my old Bonna wood skis. 8 inches of fresh powder. No grooming. Beautiful blue wax day. I was breaking fresh tracks, some areas had snowshoe tracks.

[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Skated the golf course today. It was groomed yesterday, and 1 inch of new snow fell. Under that, it is mostly ice, making it hard to get poles to stick. Classical tracks were not set.

I skied the skijor loop this morning. The groomer went by as I was putting on my skis rolling out the fresh one and a half inches of snow. Not enough snow too set classic tracks and there's ice underneath the fresh snow. My dog saw her shadow this morning, so six more weeks of good skiing.

Firsthand: Freestyle Observation
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Went out in the late afternoon and made it around one lap of the purple loop. Although there were some areas where it was nice, a lot of the trail was pretty icy and many sections had leaves/debris. I didn't attempt the orange loop because I didn't want to encounter icy hills. I drove over to the golf course and looked at the trail from Kendall's parking lot and it also looked pretty icy.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Rock skis ]
Skied the purple trail and the trail leading to the activity center. Trail was groomed recently, probably today. Grooming was only on skate deck. The classic trail was mostly still intact and the fresh snow accumulated there. There are icy spots and sticks and leaves on the trail from the wind. Fair to poor conditions, but still glad I went out.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied the golf course, classic, both lower and northern loops. The light snow this morning covered all leaves and debris in tracks. Tracks mostly visible on lower loop, barely visible on northern loop. Icy conditions, covered by light snow. South facing slopes icy. Poling difficult, as the ice crust is pretty thick. No open ground, no recent grooming. Fair conditions.

Skied Bunker golf course around noon today. Most of the golf course was not groomed, but they were grooming. Skiing was not bad.

Got to ski the golf course today. Some thin/icy spots but nothing you can't get around. Lots of leaf and twig debris in the more covered areas. Skate deck firm and in decent shape but could use a grooming.

Nice skiing out at Bunker Hills today! Groomer was out this afternoon. Skied pretty much all the trails. The photo with deer was taken near the wave pool area.

Most of the park, golf course, and skijoring trail had been rolled and groomed by yesterday morning. There was about 1-2" of fresh powder on top. With the windy conditions, some parts of the trail on the golf course were not apparent if you're not familiar with the trail system. It was still a nice, quiet, soft, slow ski and should set up nicely.
