Excellent conditions/grooming for classic. We skied most of the trails (7 miles) between Schultze, Portage, O'Brien, and Jensen lakes. Beautiful scenery with snow covering the trees.

Skied 9 miles on east side of park starting from Schultz Beach. Tracks were generally in good condition. Not many leaves. Beautiful morning for skiing with snow in the trees.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The eastern section of the park (between Pilot Knob Rd. and Dodd Rd.) has been groomed with tracks reset this morning. Unfortunately, the groomer had an equipment breakdown, and the center and west sections will not be groomed today, but the trails are still open.

With warming temps classic tracks are becoming slick. Leafy throughout the woodlands. Not as good ski conditions as several days ago with cooler temps.

Skied from Holland Lake to the Black Diamond Trail, over to the Visitor Center, then dropped down to the Southern Trek before heading back up to Holland Lake. All trails in great shape in spite of the leaves! Groomers are doing a great job.

Found tracks had a bit of leaf litter but found sections that were quite good. Used blue special wax to get grip. I skied the south loop from the visitor center and it was really enjoyable. Firm tracks but a little worn from the traffic.

Lots of oak leaves to foul up your kick wax, and hard packed snow to make climbing hills difficult. Tracks are firm and well-defined, but again, the snow in them is so hard that I mostly slid--couldn't get much grip. Maybe if you have fish scale skis you'll have better luck, but until it snows more or the trails get re-groomed, it will be too difficult for me.

Conditions this afternoon at Leb reminded me why cross country skiing can be so enjoyable. 99% of the trail was in great condition - nicely set tracks. You almost forget how close to the metro area you are. The groomers have done a great job. Only areas of concern were by post 20 - that corner is turning to ice as people plow through the turn. Other area that was a little sketchy was the road crossing as the road was significantly lower than the lip leading up to it.

Fantastic ski this afternoon with the new snow yesterday and tracks set just this morning. Great job by the groomer with firm tracks. Be careful not to overdress like I did with temps in mid teens feeling more like upper twenties due to no wind and bright sun.

Absolutely incredible conditions at Lebanon. Groomers were out this morning. Double tracks, beautiful snow, flawless conditions throughout. Race skis no problem. Get out and enjoy.
