For the big loop - the tracks are still mostly packed powder, some iced glaze in sunny and low-lying sections, a few footprints. Lots of skiers have passed through, still nearly all of the tracks are in good condition.

The trails this morning may be in the best condition of the season so far - I was on the big loop. Not even many oak leaves!

My wife and I had a great ski this afternoon at Lebanon Hills Park. New snow again last night and trails packed and tracked. We started at the Visitor Center then went east thru the Pines by Marsh Lake. From there we skied South to marker 60 then cut up thru the Pines to marker 51 and continued on Skiing thru the center of the park. At marker 14 we turned back east towards the Visitor Center but first went along Holland Lake for a change of scenery. Its so nice to have options. We found the tracks to be in great shape with no leaf litter. At points we were all alone in the park. Great afternoon for a ski.

Yesterday's blanket of crystalline snow filled the tracks making them a bit shallow and slow, but also provided excellent new snow everywhere. Hills were soft and easy to navigate. No ice, no bare spots. Beautiful sunny day. Saw five deer just east of Schultze lake.

I had a great ski this morning at Lebanon Hills. Ski trails had just been tracked this morning befor I went out and the groomer did a great job. I started at the Visitor Center then skied East past Schulz Lake (a few spots to watch out for thru beach area). Skied eastern most loop then thru pines along Marsh Lake. I then skied South to marker 60 and cut up into the woods to maker 42 which took me back to marker 55/56 and back to 60. From there I skied thru the horse pasture past marker 38 and on to marker 7 where I turned and went back to the Visitor Center thru the center ski trails. I found the new snow to be soft and a bit slow although it may have been my no wax skis as I have not applied glide wax recently.

Probably some of the best skiing conditions of the year at the Lebanon Hills trails. Skied a 9K loop from Schultze, on the outer trails, through the pines out and then out to Jensen and then back via Holland. Great snow coverage and nary a leaf on the trails. Thanks to the groomers, the trails are rolled and there are tracks. From what I could see of the other trails, those were rolled too and had tracks. Tracks are a bit shallow and snow is soft. The one thing I did miss was the right kick wax. Anyway, enjoy!

I started today near the Jensen Lake TH around noon. Trails had been rolled, but no classical tracks were set. I drove over to the Schulze TH and observed the same there.

Decided to check out the Lebanon trails after all the wind. Skied the main loop, through the Pines / Marsh Lake then to Jensen and back via Holland, and as expected, the trail had its share of twigs, branches and tiny pine cones. What was unexpected was to find the tracks still fairly intact, but it seems other skiers are skiing them in. Bit icy at Schultze right by the beach. Few snowdrifts. Amazing sunset.

Skied the east portion from the Holland lake trail head. Skied there on Sunday and the tracks were serviceable. Skied there this morning and the tracks had been removed by the groomer. Looks like it was groomed for skating. This is a classic ski only area. The only tracks left were made by humans.

Ski trails were just roller packed yesterday so I decided to give skiing a try today. Found trails to be hard packed with some skier made tracks and mostly icy. Ski trails thru pines had some pine cones in tracks but little oak leaf litter in woods. Ski trails in open areas hard packed with some wind blown areas. Still a good ski but might be difficult for more novice skiers due to icy conditions and some areas with out tracks.
