Trails near the visitors center are toast. Whatever isn't icy/bare/soft has been aggressively walked over. Trails further out are less damaged but seeing as there is manmade snow elsewhere, it doesn't feel worthwhile. It was a great season - can't wait to ski with the kids again at Leb.

Lebanon was amazing this afternoon. I fishscaled all the trails east of Pilot Knob without venturing too close to the Visitor Center. Good coverage, soft and pretty slow.

Late afternoon ski, Visitor Center almost to Jensen Lake. Lots of leaves and some sticks poking through from melt. Actual snow and tracks were tolerable but a significant amount of debris. Some non-shaded areas icy-wet with loss of tracks. The countdown is on.

Skied the skate trails for the first time in 25 years or so. Skate deck was in good condition except for the few spots where sun directly hits the trail. Use caution on the downhills, as they are kind of icy. Someone dumped a bunch of artificial petals on the trail near the trailhead that someone will have to pick up. Should be good for a few days yet.

Skied this morning before the afternoon warm-up. Tracks were in good to pretty decent shape with some occasional shallow/washed out spots, but good coverage overall. A bit icy, so a bit fast/precarious in spots for a beginners like me and my buddies, but we had a great time. Hopefully they hold up over the next day or two!

Hiked at West Lebanon near the skate trails. Trails looked recently groomed with the ice layer broken up. Looked pretty skate-able. May give it a try in the morning.

I skied Lebanon Hills Park this morning from the Visitor Center around the eastern most loop then thru the pines around Marsh Lake then south into the equestrian area turning at 38 back to 55 then back again to 38 continuing to 7 and back to the Visitor Center along the central trails. I found the ski trails mixed. Some were good, some washed out, some icy and some sticky. I had read a previous skiers report about having trouble with kick wax -- Because of that I used my no wax skis and found I had great glide except for the oak leaves but I had almost no grip going up hills due to ice. Just before marker 12 I spied three young deer grazing on young tree buds. Still a good ski especially being mid March.

Fantastic late season conditions at Lebanon Hills! Trails were groomed Sunday morning had set up nicely overnight. Skied the inside trails starting at Schultz. Trails were a bit washed out near Schultz, but got a lot better as you got away from the Visitor Center. the was some drifting in open area, and the wind also brought down more oak leaves in the usual spots. Those would be tough of kick wax, but skins handle them well.

My first time out here so I don't want to judge too harshly, though it looks like the trail gets a lot of non-skier use. Much of what I was seeing were just deer tracks, can't really complain about that. Lovely day and nice, bucolic setting. Not groomed today, but track set still serviceable. Glad to get to know a new course, I've been overdoing it at Battle Creek lately. Nice winding trails, but the curves are sometimes a bit tight, need to prepare to jump out of the track often.

Trails were in very good condition; machine set double track with well placed, smooth run-outs for downhills. One track occasionally washed out on high side to side camber variation sections. Unfortunately, my waxing and skiing was absolutely horrible. I corked two layers of Swix Blue Extra onto my skis before I drove out. Google said it was 30 degrees. That was within my wax's upper range but the roads were really wet. So I corked a shorter layer of Swix Violet Special onto my skis when I arrived fearing the snow would be warmer and wet. It wasn't. But wax's 30 to 32 degrees range should have still been okay. As I went down the long descent from the Jensen Lake trailhead I had neither glide or bite. I put on another, longer layer of Violet Special at the bottom of the hill. It gave me a little better bite but I struggled with clumping snow the rest of my ski. I could ski it off on the more heavily trafficked and packed sections but every untracked intersection and most of the more lightly trafficed and packed south side portion of the trail had my skis constantly clumping up with snow. Three inches thick at times. Finally stopped and scraped and reestablished some glide but lost some bite as a result. Finally got in some decent glide and kick on the flatter section of the return to the trailhead. So frustrating because trail conditions looked so good. I wasn't the only one who struggled because one other wax ski skier I met said he did fine with blue waxed skis but his wife struggled with pink waxed skis as did one no wax ski skier who told me he was experiencing clumping too.
