Classic skied grimm from 9-10am today. Mostly good, little icy in the tracks. Skate deck looked good.

It felt like January at Carver today even at 11 am when I started. No grooming on Grimm yet this morning but there was a perfect light layer of cold snow on top of yesterday's tracks with some drifted snow in places that I groomed my first loop and kept going 3 more times it was so good. My Fisher RCS Colds had been sitting on the wax bench for over a month waiting for this and I seemed to have lucked out with my best wax selection of the season for the conditions with Rode Blue. After that, it had warmed up and with the steep hills on King I switched to waxless which ended up working great there. They had just finished grooming King to the best tracks I've seen this year and somehow found the energy for another 3 laps there. NOTE: The entrance road is bad. A couple of areas I only felt safe going 5 mph because the holes are about a foot deep!

Skied around 8:30-10am Grimm trail, didn't look recently groomed but was in good condition. skate deck was firm with about 1 inch of fresh snow/tracks on it, slow going but a good workout. The tracks looked mostly good with a few areas of drifting snow but very skiable.

Felt like typical February skiing. A little soft but decent glide despite that and well-groomed. Really nice trails. The dirt road out to the ski building should be filled in or something — lots of deep potholes.

Skied King and Lake. Trails are in great shape. Deck was firm fresh groom with 1/2 of new snow. Tracks looked decent. Some blowing snow on prairie trails makes depth perception difficult. Snow was getting sticky at 2pm. I would expect faster conditions during the morning hours. Lots of snow. Get out if you can!

Skied Grim, lake and sky trails. Started at Grimm at 9 am, 26F degrees, trail was groomed but icy coarse snow and fast. Lake and sky were softer but somewhat slow. Great morning to get some March bonus skiing in.

Skated the lower trails including King shortly after noon. Trails were very well-groomed with almost no debris, although the snow was getting very soft and slow in the warm temps and sun. The tracks looked pretty good in general. The dirt road out to the ski area was extremely muddy and saturated with water; in some sections I could tell my tires were getting pulled into the mud a bit.
