Still finding good snow for skating. The extra snow they got last month and the intelligent grooming all season has resulted in mostly good trails. There are some gaps that you will have to cross (grass), but if you use rock skis it is not bad. I found some good stretches and skied both ways. It might make it another week. (Skied there last year until March 27).

Recently groomed. Prairie loop skate deck was very good given the recent weather. Just a couple of bare spots to work around, especially at the start.

Great morning of skiing at Baker! Thank you to the groomers for the wonderful trails this season! I skied Island, Timber, Prairie and Fairway Good snow coverage. Rated fair due to few areas of iced sections (small flat section at connector to Island) which are well marked, One downhill section (connector to Timber) has ice. Most parts of trails in good condition.

Skied Baker this afternoon and conditions were fantastic! As we were getting done the groomer came by and was wiping out the classic track and setting a new one. She was doing such a good job it looked like a piston bully had set them. Get out now while the trails are still like this!

Skated the outer loop. Heavenly trails. A a bit of leaves and twigs but just enough to keep things interesting, and is in a forest. Classic tracks looked great.

Beautiful fresh snow and fresh tracks at Baker today. Windy at the top near the club house but gorgeous in the woods. Only a few leaves. Tracks fairly firm.

Baker is in great shape for skating. Good coverage, no ice, few leaves in the skate area. The daily grooming really makes a difference. The classic tracks look ok but a little shallow with some wind blown leaves.

Beautiful day at Baker with clean, white snow. As good as it gets. No dirt, leaves or debris (well, a few leaves on the Island). Deck was firm now that the air has escaped from the last snow fall. Tracks seemed to be in fair to good shape (I skated).

Skate skied Baker Monday afternoon. The trails had been packed that morning. The deck was soft but the coverage was excellent. No classic tracks were set. I'm calling the conditions for skate very good.

The groomers are faced with a challenge in my opinion, as the snow would not pack. They did not set tracks at all, from what we could see at noon. We found the snow to be very slow, as the deck was soft. As a Clydesdale, I sank into the deck more than your average skier.
