Very little base. No grooming scheduled until further notice. Cart paths are exposed and the ground is soft during the day. Closed until further notice.

A few bare spots and debris under trees but thanks to the grooming it was a very easy to avoid the rough spots.

I skied Phalen around 1:30 PM today. Considering the absence of a previous base, the new snow is smoother than I expected, and faster than I was expecting with the cold temperatures. So far, there is minimal variation in the snow between shaded and sun facing areas, and bare spots are easily avoided. Get out there while it lasts! Thanks to the groomers.

A nice day to be at Lake Phalen! The base has diminished very little and the trail has fiirmed up slightly. No classic set today. A few thin areas and one cart path exposed. Plenty of great trails left on this sunny day!
