Good to very good overall. Track is firm, wide in spots, and well-used. Some ice and grass in a few spots, but not enough to spoil the otherwise good ski.

A bit rutted skate deck but great coverage. Grooming happening right after I started so it should be great when it has firmed up!

Not busy this morning. Skate deck looked great, tracks just fine, just a little washed out and slow. Weight, maybe that was just me. Maybe a bad pun or just bad humor. Sorry!

Newly groomed tracks were well set, even around the curves. Excellent overall. Skating track looked fast. I hope the snow holds up. Grass was starting to poke through in a couple spots, but nothing serious.

Groomed this morning but classic track was just skied in. Lots of folks out there. Skate deck was soft.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Highland received a fresh 3-4 inches of the good stuff yesterday and was rolled and groomed this morning. We will let the skiers work their magic and be back on Tuesday to groom again. Enjoy the beautiful day.

Good coverage with hard packed fast tracks on the straights but tracks on curves and top of hills are disappearing or gone. Nothing to watch out for but a few leaves and descents are faster than usual so turns at the bottom are ...interesting for us newer skiers! At 15F, started on Rex green and quickly switched to blue which was a decent kick until it wore off and then it was a slip and slide.

Windy but very skiable skate bed. Just a few spots with avoidable grass poking thru a bit and 1-2 icy stretches.

Enjoyed a newly groomed skate deck that did a great job of evening out the terrain from the last snowfall. Coverage also enhanced in many places from last week with very few bare spots now present. The sun was out, I was skijoring with my dog 10 minutes from my home, for free. What an amazing perk of living in St. Paul. Thanks to St. Paul Parks and Recreation and a special thanks to the groomers.
Note to skijorers: Please be diligent about picking up after your dog. I have picked up stray piles and bags my last two skis. It won't take much for them to reconsider allowing skijoring if they find dog poop all over the course in the spring. A good trick is to use a waist-strap water bottle holder and leave the water bottle at home. Put bags in the side pocket and poop fits nicely in where the bottle would go.
