Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails have been rolled. Conditions are not perfect but the final groom will be done after the holiday. Get out there and enjoy it. No classic tracks yet.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We skied 3 loops of the classic trail - it didn’t appear groomed, but the skate ski was rolled. Classic tracks veered and didn’t feel “set” but still manageable and the fresh snow covered up previous thin spots. Lots of first-timers and families out for New Years Eeve, which was nice to see. Looking forward to a few more minutes of light every night for some twilight skiing!

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Rock skis ]
Trails are closed until we get more snow to groom. Right now we only have ice or bare ground to work with. Please visit a man made loop until we can reestablish a trail. Trying to ski at Highland would be unsafe.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Ice patches, thin sections with grass exposed, snow cone skate deck. Snow depth maybe 1 to 2 inch skate deck, classic maybe 1 inch with grass patches. Cart path behind practice green on the verge of exposure. Still very skiable though! Get out and enjoy while you can.

Freshly groomed (thanks groomers!) and lightning fast! Deck is hard and crusty (still easy to get an edge) with local easily avoided ice and bare grass. B skis recommended. Classic skiing would be less fun. Decent crust skiing is possible over much of the golf course area. Super fun!

Got on the snow about 8:30 am - skate deck very soft and giving at every step. A few wet areas and exposed grass/dirt that could be stepped around. Lots of "glide tracks" from others trying their luck. Classic tracks still exist, mostly scrubbed off in places. Snow dancing...

Foxy, Kevin and I skated in very good conditions at Highland. The tracks looked good for about half the course; I would recommend waxless.

Not regroomed as of 11AM but skate deck holding up OK. Semi-firm in some areas but able to get an edge. No bare spots. I'd expect it to still be skiable tomorrow morning.

Highland is hanging in there! The deck is quite hard though getting an edge is still doable. It's also getting thin in spots (grass tips and hints of underlying asphalt in a small number of places). B skis recommended. Otherwise it is nice and wide (approaches birkie trail width in spots) and running pretty fast! The classic tracks looked quite good though locally contained moderate amounts of oak leaves. Many thanks to the grooming crew for their excellent work!

Fantastic conditions, and very fast. Get out this week if you can, before they meltdown. Enjoy!
