Notes

Trails are on the golf course. Some nice hills but most of the course is pretty exposed. There is one back leg that is quite shaded and seems to hold snow long after the rest of the course loses it. Rentals at the chalet.

Good morning from Como! Great ski conditions and the trail has held up well despite the warm up. A couple areas to mindful due to ice. Skate deck is semi firm and the classic is holding up. Enjoy!

Dreamy conditions today. Skate deck was fast, nicely packed track, great ground coverage. Just a couple bare spots but easily avoidable. Classic tracks looked excellent too.

The cross country ski trail at Como golf course was groomed this morning. A fresh 3-6" of snow fell yesterday and was blown around which made the snow depth inconsistent. There is an ice layer under the snow pack. The trail has been rerouted in one spot because of lack of snow. A new Classic track was set. Stay warm and enjoy!

The cross country ski trail at Como golf course was groomed this morning. There is a few spots where the grass is showing through but over all the trail is in good condition. A new classic track was set as well. Enjoy!

Started at 9:30a and did three laps. The groomer was out and should be fully groomed by now; he was just starting when we arrived. Ungroomed deck was firm and icy in some spots but we could still get a good edge in most places. All the typical thin spots are still there, but overall I'd say it's in great shape considering our snowpack. Classic tracks were also reset and looked good for what the groomer has available.

Hard packed and icy for skating. I did one round and quit. Better skiers than I would have had no trouble, but I was too scared of falling to ski well. There was a narrow band of okay snow just to the left of the classic track, but it was too narrow for my stride. Lots of downhillers and snowboarders were arriving as I was leaving. Their course had just been groomed and looked great.

That little bit of snow we got over the weekend allowed the groomers to do their magic! Tracks were pretty solid considering they got worn down by the warm weather. Coverage looked good everywhere, no true bare spots, although, the normal culprits had the thin areas (little bumps or under certain trees).

Enjoyed the well groomed classic tracks this morning. Skied the full loop. A few wind blown thin areas but fun skiing.
