Notes
The Balsam Branch trails are open to the public for no charge. When there is snow, tracks are set by Polk County Park and volunteers. The trailhead parking area is always well plowed. Toilet facilities are available at the nearby Kennedy Environmental center but no coffee shop or warming facility. Roughly 4K of lighted trails added in 2010.Trail Reports

Scratched the skate lane only. With the forecast, classic track was not groomed. Picked up many sticks while grooming. Leaf debris still there. Should be pretty good skiing.

It is beautiful out on the trails. Groomed some yesterday and finished today. Trails are pretty but soft. All trails were tracked and skate lane groomed. Could almost use good skis, but an occasional rock may be under the surface. Enjoy!

Good classic conditions this morning. Tracks set on about 50% of trails, all trails were groomed with corduroy. No rocks or sticks. Shout out to Greg who was grooming and putting more track down as I was skiing, thank you!
