Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
What a great ski! The tracks are holding up well and I saw several other people out using them as well. There was enough powder to control speed on some of the bigger hills.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
With the fresh roughly 3 inches of new snow, I groomed the 7 km system and set a pair of tracks along side a skate lane in the open areas. I did not set a track in the woods areas. Conditions are very good to excellent. You can use your good skis finally!

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We picked up a couple inches of new snow over the last week, so I rolled our entire 7 km system Monday Morning. Though I could not set a track yet, rolling smoothed out the trail pretty well. The open trail sections have good snow cover and clean snow. The woods sections of trail have a few spots of dirt dragged up - which is why I am indicating B skis.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
A tale of two cities: trails along the fairways were in adequate shape--full coverage, no recent grooming, plenty of pedestrians have been around, but decent for skating, no classic tracks; pretty thin in the woods with bare spots, varying amounts of debris, best avoided. Nordmarka is a very good choice for an hour or more workout and considering the lack of recent snow is is in good shape. The groomers are to be commended.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I rolled the entire system Friday night. No tracks were set. Except for a few spots in the woods where a bit of dirt mixed in with the snow in the wooded areas, the snow coverage was really excellent. Thankfully only a few folks walked the trails. The skate deck smoothed out pretty well after quite a bit of use the past two days. Overall the trail is in great shape. Can use B skis with care.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skated the entire system and except for a few spots of dirt mixed in with the snow in the woods area, the snow coverage was very good! B skis could be used with care. No tracks were set. The trail had quite a few skiers but amazingly, very few walkers or snowshoers. It was a quality ski today!

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Excellent coverage throughout with only a very few easily avoided thin spots. I used good skis with no regrets; the highly worried should use B. The skate deck is of optimal firmness with enough loose snow for good edging. There are no set classic tracks. Splendid golf course skiing. Note the donation box at the start.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Entire 7 km system groomed Wednesday. The trails were packed first, then rolled. Except for a few places in the woods areas where a little gravel got kicked up, the snow coverage was very good. So I recommend rock skis just in case - or your B skis if you are careful. Expect a little drifting in a few open areas as the wind was blowing when I was finishing up. I was amazed how well grooming turned out for the first time - a firm, combed surface that should have set up well with falling temperatures. No tracks were set. Skate deck was smooth.
