Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
With the recent dustings of snow a decision was made to attempt grooming. Despite the thin base and heavy foot traffic throughout the system results appeared to be fantastic. Full coverage so far with very little debris after grooming four sections of trail. I plan to finish grooming the remaining trails and then ski in the morning. I’ll post another report on conditions after that. B skis, maybe even good skis!

Not recently groomed. People have been walking down the trail, creating deep holes and nasty spill areas---be careful.

Enough new snow but not groomed. New crusty wet snow arrived Friday. Once it's groomed it might be in good condition.

Surprisingly pretty good some track in some areas as you got deeper into the hills snow coverage was good. Do recommend using your B skis as there was some areas of dirt and debris. Kudos to the groomers for doing a good job with the limited snow.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Conditions have improved after the two dustings of snow the area received Sunday and Monday morning. Most of the dirt spots pulled up by grooming are covered by a thin layer of snow. The plan is still to not groom until at least a couple more inches of snow fall. There have been walkers on the groomed trails but that didn’t have a huge effect on a fantastic afternoon ski! I have yet to ski the tower trails so no comment on those sections.

Surprised at the quality of conditions. Most trails in excellent condition and well groomed. Several steeper hills in average to poor condition thus my assessment not to use your best skis, but certainly most of it is fine using your best ones.

The grooming at Hoffman turned out better than anticipated. I skied about half the trails (didn’t ski the tower area). The corduroy was still setting up due to the dry snow so the skis did want to slip some. There were a few rough/bumpy spots as well as some dirt and debris, all easily avoided. I would still recommend the B skis. The base is thin and we won’t be grooming until more snow falls.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Hoffman was rolled and groomed this morning with mixed results. Rated as B skis due to thin spots and areas where dirt and debris were pulled up during grooming. Avoid Roller Coaster because of erosion/washouts. All trails were rolled and have at least one pass with the groomer. A shallow track was set on a couple trails with poor results. I plan to ski it later today and will add another post regarding conditions.
