Firsthand: Freestyle

This is the first time anywhere this ski season that I can say conditions were excellent. I skate skied the entire trail system on freshly groomed trails. Mine were the first tracks on the fresh corduroy. The skate deck was firm as were the classic tracks for double poling. Speed was very good and control on the downhills was also excellent. Kudos to the groomers.

Thin snow but outstanding grooming. Freshly rolled and classic tracks set on thin base. A few spots were bare but easily avoided. Beautiful woods freshly covered with dissing of snow. Could use more snow but ok for good skis today.
