Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All 80+ kilometers of trails re-groomed with the Pisten Bully in the last 48 hours and are in the best condition they've been all year! Trails are clean and the snow depth on trail is about 7-10" with about 25" in the woods. Lots of great skiing left in the season as we head into March.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails have now been rolled after receiving about 7" of fresh snow. Many of the "interior" trails were Pisten Bully groomed last night with fresh skate decks and classic tracks. Conditions are excellent and should get even better after a second grooming. Snow depth on trails is about 7-10". Grooming plans: Pisten Bully is headed out again this evening for another session.

Went for a skate ski early this afternoon and even though the temperatures were warm, the snow is remaining cold and isn't turning slow or sticky at all. The temperatures are barely affecting the trails. Skate decks were fast with perfect edge control. Trails have been groomed in the last two days with some freshly groomed last night. There's a bit of small debris on some of the trails from all the wind, but some trails are perfectly clean.

Went out for a classic ski today since it was so cold! Easy wax choice! I skied many of the interior trails that were groomed last night including Silver Strider, Sleigh Ride, and XC Express. Conditions were fantastic with deep and clean classic tracks. The park received about 4" a few days ago which really helped freshen up the trails and cover up any pine debris. Skate decks looked firm and smooth with excellent edge control. The trail base was about 8". It was a sunny and beautiful day out on the trails.

I classic skied from the Lodge out to Lake Marie and back. Firm deep track everywhere. Very little debris. The skate deck also looked great.

All trails are in great shape especially the main trails groomed last night. I opted to ski a seldom used wilderness trail called Tamarack Pond, which is not always groomed. A nice trail to classic ski if you want to avoid the popular trails. Photos are from Tamarack Pond.

18° and trails were perfect! The fastest ski of the year. Conditions are as good as they get! I skated and classical today. I did the River run loop, silver strider, XC Express, nepco's cruise and a few others. Complete coverage, no debris in the tracks. A pleasant ski today after the bitter cold the last three days.

Yesterday was my first Wolf Tracks race but it certainly won't be my last! I warmed up at 8am and the skate deck was as perfect as I've ever skied - perfectly flat across the entire wide trail. The race started with 'fast' conditions given it was below zero but with the fresh snow it slowed during the race. What a gorgeous winter wonderland though trails winding throughout the varied conifer and deciduous forests. Everyone was so warm and welcoming over Friday and Saturday and thanks to the dozens of volunteers!

The tracks were nicely set, deep but not icy. Skied multiple loops and even though they could use a little more snow (who couldn't?), the fantastic crew at MWP keep the trails in the best shape possible. Get while the gettin's good.

Classic skied most of day. Tracks were deep. Minimal debris. Worth driving from Green Bay. Entire park had been groomed in past two days. Best skiing of the season for my friend and I.
