Notes

Trails mostly through fairly open terrain, with both flat and challenging areas. There is a 3.7K man-made snow loop, groomed and track by a PistenBully, and a large parking lot, but no chalet. There is a second lot off 45th St.

Trail Reports

Reports 1 to 10 of 45    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec
Monday, March 16, 2026
Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Trails were groomed but are pretty dirty and down to the dirt in several places, likely due to the wild wind blowing things all over the place. That has also led to some drifting that has erased the classic tracks in many areas and makes it hard to find the trail in several other spots. If you have your rock skis, feel free to try it out. It is nice to get out a bit in March, so I will take whatever I can get.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Skied on a nice firm skate deck, also over snowbanks, some of which are still growing, over some nearly bare spots, over places the groomer got lost or stuck, and was herded down the trail by a pretty Australian Shepard who apparently thought I was a wayward sheep. No tracks. If none of that bothers you you'll have a nice ski. Good to be out .

Was just informed that the City is grooming the machine made snow trail this morning. No word on the natural snow trails.

Full coverage on all of the man-made trail. It was groomed this morning and there are classic tracks. A little ice and dirt, per usual, but great skiing.

Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Skied in the afternoon at the tail end of new snow. Trails ungroomed. We set our classic tracks today and after a few loops of skate skiing, the snow was slightly packed for a faster glide.

Nice skating and classic skiing today. Skins worked well in the firm track at 48 degrees. Grooming plans: City is planning on pushing clean snow over the worst dirt spots this weekend while grooming. Should be great skiing.

The Gamehaven glacier lives. Nice skating on the Ginzu groomed deck. Tracks set. Lots of dirt in the trail, both the windblown kind that makes the snow brown, and black pieces of ground up clods. Easy to avoid the bad spots, but I'd leave your good skis at home.

Trails were groomed today, leaving a dirty soft surface of snow-cone consistency at 32F. A few avoidable patches of dirt are poking through the man-made snow.

Snowmaking loops still holding up. Some dirt/debris mixed in ( esp. SW segment loop) "B" skis. Note: Saturday 9-Noon, the Loopy Loppet will use the full remaining course, including Storbakken Hill 9-10:30 ( after that, much of the hill may be mixed use, skiers/sledders).

Nice skating on the machine made trail today, nice track as well. There will be a race this Saturday morning from 9 to about noon. Grooming plans: There may be times next week where grooming may need to be suspended due to weather. Will try to stay in contact with the city and post as we know.
